How will it "make it worse"?

Because every time you click, a system event happens, and the computer has to take care of it. There's some factors for when a computer is running slowly: overheating, faulty software and hardware, issues with your memory (like too little space). Whatever it is, your computer is struggling to take care of it and keep the graphics updated, so basically if you continue clicking, it'll have to get through all of the stuffs I mentioned above and your clicks which will take longer than had you just waited and you might even have to restart it if the computer is too over worked. tl;dr: computer has to take care of background stuffs, clicking a lot will make it take longer and might over work it

Nah, if app freezes then its often problem with app itself and computer is fine. That was the case in early computers but now its not like you can run only one app and whole computer do only this. So clicking do basically nothing to performance in 99% of the cases.

It depends on the computer, mine freezes no matter what, either way it's probably better to leave the program and reenter it or you'll probably wait too long and the os will ask you to leave at some point.

A 2Ghz CPU can perform ~1 billion operations per second. You clicking is going to do nothing.

Bad phrasing? I meant it'll make things worse not the computer itself, it's better to wait and not click too much when it's already freezing because it'll take longer.
